Face chart #1

For my character (Heathcliff inspired) i wanted to create a look that made him look very tired and ill. This face chart was aimed more at tiredness and looking run down rather than ill. Thats why i have used more grey and black colours rather than reds and purples. The dry lips show that Heathcliff spent a lot of time outside on the moors so therefore the wind and cold conditions caused his lips to dry out.

Products used:
- Illamasqua matte primer
- Kryolan foundation palette / Elf foundation palette
- Black illamasqua eyeshadow
- Dark brown kryolan blush
- Red supra colour
- Duo eyelash glue (dry lips)

I wanted red on the neck and around the eye area and nostrils. The rest i wanted to keep very sunken in to the skin so contouring the face using a grey toned powder. Cheekbones, neck, collarbones, temples and also the eye socket.

Reflecting:

I decided that this wasn't the face chart i was going to use for my final design as i didn't really like the contouring as much, looked too much like make up to me and not making someone look tired/ill. For my second face chart i wanted to make the character look a lot more ill and naturally sunken in instead of making it so dramatic. The one thing i did want to keep the same from the first face chart was to create dry lips using latex.

I need to practice more with face charts and try out different products on the paper, some parts of it look messy because of how i applied different products.
